Since returning from my travels to Scotland, Wales and then Scotland again, I finally feel able to settle in for the winter.

Over the last couple of weeks, I've started scanning the glass plates I made with retired Loch Ness RNLI volunteers Howie and Sandra. More specifically, I've created the first in a series of new audio pieces which I alluded to at the end of Issue 21.

ORIGINAL MOTION PICTURE SOUNDTRACK

The soundtrack to the cinema film featuring 17 of my portraits is now available to stream via Spotify, Apple, Amazon and the appropriately named Tidal.

Or search for ‘launch on the sea’ within those streaming services and it should appear.

It’s an original score — Track 9 ‘Women in the Crews’ was written to accompany the sequence where my portraits appear in the film.

My audio recordings are dotted about but mostly feature in Track 10 ‘Every Second Counts’.

I can't stop listening to it...indeed, it's playing now as I tap these words in the studio!

Hopefully, it'll be a dreamy nautical accompaniment to your day too.

THE POSTCARDS HAVE LANDED

In other excellent news, the four new postcard packs arrived from the printer today and this is what 4600 postcards looks like!

I'm so chuffed with them — they look magnificent, one of the best print jobs I’ve ever received.
