Calling Convention Workshop Presenters! The theme of our Unity Convention, held June 13–17, 2022, is People, Get Ready! There are three convention tracks, and your workshop must fit within one of these tracks. We are offering a total time of between two and six hours per workshop in two-hour increments in order to allow an in-depth experience. See the details on the submission form. Please complete the form by Wednesday, December 15, 2021.
A selection team will review the submissions and make final determinations based on alignment with the requirements. If your workshop is selected, we will request additional information. Contact Rev. Diane Venzera if you have questions.
Hybrid Annual Summit, January 24–26, 2022. Thank You for the Loaves & Fishes Fund. Rev. They also appreciate the quick response time in getting the funds. Rev. Lura Lisa Wall and Unity Baton Rouge, Louisiana, are also grateful for the support they received. If your ministry has been impacted by the pandemic, please read the application requirements to see if your situation fits. Our generous fund donors want to help our Unity communities!
Annual Report Process for 2022. The Central Office has streamlined our annual report form process and you (ministries and credentialed leaders, both active and inactive) will be able to fill it out online. There will be a place on the form to confirm your CEUs completed for 2021. Reports are due by March 31, 2022, and a link to the new online form will be sent out by January 21, 2022, to the main contact email address we have on file in our database. These forms are required from our members and enable us to stay in touch with you so that we can better serve you. Thank you for helping us keep our records updated!

Education

Educating Unity Leaders in Spiritual Principles

Integral Ministry Elective Course. During the Unity Worldwide Spiritual Institute winter quarter which starts January 3, 2022, Revs. Drs. Gary and Jane Simmons will be teaching an Introduction to Integral Ministry Practice. This elective course is open to members in the field as well as ministerial students. The course is an introduction to the theoretical context for understanding mission-centric ministry and whole systems strategies for evolving out of minister-centric ministry practices. Learn more here.
UWSI Enrollment Change. We have an important change to our policies at UWSI! Beginning January 1, 2022, anyone wishing to receive credit for a field course will need to enroll with UWSI. This one-time enrollment form and fee of $35 to take UWSI courses has been in place since 2016. The change being made is to bring all UWSI field course credits under the umbrella of UWSI enrollment and to automate the process. Read more information here.

Providing Resources and Opportunities for Unity Leaders

Transitions

Rev. Victor “Vic” Jenkins (ordained 1987) made his transition on October 18, 2021. Vic served as minister of Unity of the Valley Spiritual Center, Vacaville, California, for 20 years before retiring in 2008. He had a heart for social justice issues and inspired spiritual growth through the many ways that he served Unity and through his dedication to the Solano Alliance for Justice and Empowerment.
Tributes can be shared at Vic Jenkins - ForeverMissed.com Online Memorials. His memorial service will be held on January 15, 2022, at 1 p.m. (PT) at Unity of the Valley Spiritual Center. In lieu of flowers, send donations to the ministry at 350 N Orchard Avenue in Vacaville, CA 95688 or to Solano Alliance for Justice and Empowerment, Box 2740, Fairfield, CA 94533.

Open Positions

Open Position Highlights

Unity of Eau Claire, Wisconsin, is a community of caring and spiritual people embracing their Vision: “Centered in Divine Love, we co-create an enlightened world of harmony and abundance.” With a strong congregation of 36, they envision a minister who is open to exploring new possibilities for their beautiful facility while honoring their core traditions.

Unity of South Sound, Tacoma, Washington, is in a beautiful port city on Washington’s Puget Sound. Their congregation of 100 is a welcoming, awakening group of Spirit-loving people. Their population embraces diversity—all ages, ethnicities, gender expressions, and orientations are welcome. They enjoy learning through inspiring Sunday services, prayer, meditation, music, small groups, classes, and the teaching and practice of Unity and New Thought principles. The ideal candidate will be a spiritually grounded, dynamic speaker, who is open, honest, joyful, and humorous. They are looking for someone who understands the value of and can provide music as a ministry and an expression of joy, but also has administrative and financial management skills as well.

Celebrations

Rev. Ann Marie Acacio (ordained 1996) recently published her first book, Rise and Shine: Reclaiming Our Rightful Place.  Part 1 outlines how the three aspects of our one mind function (conscious, subconscious, and superconscious) and how we can recognize our feedback. Part 2 moves the student deeper into the remembrance of our relationship in the Trinity and offers practices for anchoring our spiritual nature. Diagrams are included for ease in learning and teaching. Questions at the end of each chapter make it an excellent book study.
A listing of all current openings for ministers and ministry personnel can be found at UnityWorldwideMinistries.org/openings. No login is needed. Send questions/comments about ministry employment to Christina Highsmith.
