SUPPORT THE PRESERVATION SOCIETY BEFORE YEAR-END
As we approach the end of the year, we ask that you consider giving a gift this holiday season in support of the Preservation Society’s education, preservation, and advocacy initiatives. Because of you and your ongoing generous support, we’ve made significant strides in our advocacy work throughout the region.
From our daily efforts to influence proposed site plans and architectural drawings that come before City review boards, to our collaborative initiatives to protect and recognize significant landscapes and neighborhoods like the Philips Community, to our success in recommending policy that has been incorporated into the City’s 10-year comprehensive plan, we are working to make Charleston a better place for its residents.
And in the near future, our work will continue to expand throughout the region. We’ve welcomed a Community Outreach Coordinator to help us further develop strong community partnerships. We’re also in the process of hiring a GIS Specialist to advance our technological capabilities in order to better analyze, visualize, and share the impacts of new development, flooding, and tourism on historic resources.
Finally, we’ve welcomed new members from across the state, country, and world this year, a nearly 10% increase in October alone, who are our partners and allies as we work together to strengthen both this organization and the greater Charleston area.
Let’s build on this momentum together and finish the year strong.
Thank you in advance for your continued generosity and for standing up for Charleston with us.
