Round 2 of virtual Fall Forum! The Fall Forum was organized by the student and teacher GJCL board and consisted of General Assembly, Colloquia sessions, service projects, Certamen, Host competition, testing, and more. 
 
Again, a huge thank you to everyone who participated and organized the Fall Forum! Hope to see you guys next year, hopefully in-person!

2. Hostess Announcement!

Congratulations to Jiyin You from Northview High School for becoming the new hostess!

3. Alae Mercurii Update

The publishing date for the Alae Mercurii has been pushed back to December 5th from November 30th.

4. Club of the Month

The November Club of the Month submissions are due December 15th at midnight - get those submissions in!

Congratulations to Maddy Atwill from the Walker School for winning September POTM!

Caption: tempus fugit:  Members of Sodālitās (Walker's name for Latin Club) recreate the Horologium Augusti (a sundial dedicated to the Sun in 10 BCE) but with measurements that align with the geographic coordinates of The Walker School.

Also congrats to September’s Honorable Mention Sophie Knapp from Dunwoody High School!

Caption: We had a rocky start to the school year due to our last sponsor leaving the school. Luckily, a few students banded together and were able to figure things out in time to have our first meeting of the year on September 10th. We learned about how ancient mosaics were made and why they're so significant, and then we made a modern mosaic of our own! Not many people were at the meeting, but what we didn't have in numbers, we made up for in spirit. As a small chapter trying to up our involvement, this meeting was a great start.
