First fundraising campaing

|
Hello <<Prénom / First Name>>,
As you know, the Fondation Jean-Pierre Perreault is open to diverse dance memories and practices. Since November 25, this openness has been reflected in a new website and a new identity: Espace Perreault Choreographic transmission. To top it off, this year we’re officially launching our first fundraising campaign!
Given your experience with Jean-Pierre, we know you are aware of the importance of protecting and promoting his choreographic legacy. Espace Perreault Choreographic transmission is continuing its duty of remembrance of Jean-Pierre’s body of work, and the protection committees for Jean-Pierre’s choreographic, musical, and visual works still guide Espace Perreault. We plan to create a new choreographic toolkit documenting the piece Joe. This is a major project we hope to begin in January 2022.
A choreographic toolkit assembles everything that led to the creation of a piece and that continues its dissemination: notes, rehearsal videos, a recording of the piece, a press kit, and more. It contains the conveyors of meaning needed to reconstruct and understand the choreography.
As I mentioned on November 25, Jean-Pierre was an artist, a visionary, an innovator, and an original, who distinguished himself for his freedom. Part of his legacy is his work, and another part is the inspiration he left us to share and support the quest for freedom, to express it, to be a conduit for it.
This is what has marked Espace Perreault Choreographic transmission’s evolution, and this is why we are asking for your generosity today, so that together we can continue to serve the dance community and preserve Jean-Pierre’s legacy.
We invite you to show your passion and commitment by donating to Espace Perreault Choreographic transmission. All donations, big or small, make a huge difference to our work! Espace Perreault Choreographic transmission is recognized as a charitable organization. Tax receipts will be issued for all donations.

Some projects that your donation will support in 2021–2022:
- Seismography: creation of a participatory platform for dance artists to share their accounts of injuries and loss in order to break the silence around these experiences and build a spirit of solidarity;
- Ancestral Memories in Dancing Bodies: publication of a booklet inspired by a workshop of the same name;
- New blog on our website by Kama La Mackerel, an artist who interrogates our activities from a creative and decolonial perspective;
- Creation of a new choreographic toolkit documenting the work Joe by Jean-Pierre Perreault;
- Launch of a video with Françoise Sullivan on her choreographic career;
- Danser Joe workshop with Les Impatients.
