Dear friends and colleagues,

This month has been a hive of activity at FFT. For the first time, we made our resident theatre production Crystal's Vardo available for you to order online and watch at home. This is a great opportunity for improving awareness around Gypsy, Roma and Traveller histories! If you would like to view the film with your family, class or workplace, find out more.

And in another first, we're asking our supporters from around the country to help us complete a mass mystery shop of GP surgeries in England. If you want to help put an end to discriminatory policies which prevent nomadic patients registering for healthcare, get involved.

Warmest wishes,
Sarah Mann

Update from the APPG
APPG members have been busy focussing on the measures in the Policing Bill. Members continue to draw attention to the inequalities faced by Gypsies, Travellers and Roma across the board.

Updates on the Policing Crime Sentencing and Courts (PCSC) Bill
APPG members and allies spoke in opposition to sections or all of Part 4 of the Policing Bill this month as the Bill went through Committee Stage in the House of Lords. Amendments were proposed that would lessen the impacts of the Bill on Gypsy, Roma and Traveller communities.

Amendments were co-sponsored by Conservative, Crossbench, Labour, Liberal Democrat and Green Peers and two Bishops (Manchester and London).

Update from our casework:

"This month we held our first youth advisory group meeting with young Gypsies and Travellers. We were pleased to have 9 young people join us to discuss the issues important to them. We received lots of positive contributions and discussed what FFT can do as an organisation to better represent the views and priorities of young Gypsy and Traveller people. Watch this space!"
