Language Acquisition & Development of Phonological Awareness in Early Literacy

This session will present an overview of language acquisition in infants, toddlers and preschoolers. We will explore two components of early literacy: vocabulary development and age-appropriate comprehension, and development of phonological awareness. The presentation will include easy to use, limited material activities and ideas to implement during classroom routines and in play centers.
