The Last Word: No School November

This month, I'm curious what you're reading! :) In education, at least in the U.S., this time of year is known as "No School November." Between the Veteran's Day holiday, first quarter grading day(s), staff development days, and the Thanksgiving Holiday, we have very few student contact days. And this year, our district superintendent rearranged things at the last minute, to give everyone - students and staff - an extra day off this week.
Even better, for the FIRST TIME since I started teaching, I'm all caught up on school work as I head into the break. I have no grading to do, my planning is organized several weeks out, and I can actually take my days off...off. Wow. What a concept! :) So - for the first time in months, I'm reading a book for pleasure. I just started Janet Evanovich's Game On (Tempting Twenty-Eight - A Stephanie Plum Novel). It's really good so far!
