FAVORITE THANKSGIVING FOOD

My favorite Thanksgiving food would have to be my Grandmother's Gumbo. It is literally the only food that I care about! I'm looking forward to seeing my family in general because I haven't seen all of my family since I left in January. Something that we do as a family is play spades. If you don't know how to play in my family then you would definitely want to learn!

MOM'S THANKSGIVING
My favorite Thanksgiving foods would be Mac n Cheese and yams. Even though I can easily cook both myself, when my mom cooks them, they always taste better. Another favorite of mine is my mom’s dressing with a lot of cranberry sauce.

CAN'T WAIT TO SEE..
The family member that I can't wait to see would be my mom. Thanksgiving will be the first time that I'll see her since the beginning of the semester. We will both catch each other up on what's going on. I will tell her about school and she will tell me what's going on at home. We have some of the most meaningful conversations during Thanksgiving.
DIRECTOR & SUBCO UPDATES
This sub-co serves to actualize the principles of collective work and responsibility by building and maintaining strong relationships with the campus community through viable co-programming.

MY DOG

The family member I’m most excited to see is my dog because he is my baby. I’ve had him forever and he gets upset whenever I have to leave him. He loves when I slip him some Thanksgiving Turkey.
This sub-co facilitates the commemoration of the federal holiday for Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. to honor Dr. King’s legacy while fostering a campus environment that fulfills Dr. King’s inclusive dream for America

HAPPY THANKSGIVING
Now we ask you: What are your favorite Thanksgiving foods? What are you grateful for? What are some traditions that you do for Thanksgiving?

This sub-co embodies the African proverb that it takes a village to raise a child, it is our intent to provide a wide array of speakers and topics that enhance student development.

MY LITTLE BEARS...
Even though the holiday season is meant to be celebrated with human family members, I can't wait to see my little bears! My dogs are old men now, and I miss them dearly. Their names are Prince Chubbles and Sir Flapjack, and yes, they are twins! I speak to my parents nearly everyday, so I do not miss them to the same degree as my dogs. My family has had our dogs since 2009, nearly half of my life! And it is not like I can talk to my dogs over the phone. My mom often tells me to speak to my dogs over the phone, and she says they get all excited hearing my voice. But I genuinely miss my stinky little bears.

FAMILY TRADITIONS
One of my family traditions for Thanksgiving is that we all sit in a circle in the living room and say one thing we’re grateful or thankful for. It may sound cheesy, but it’s an opportunity for us to be more mindful about the blessings in our lives while also having an opportunity to catch up with each other.
