#Give2StAndrew this #GivingTuesday

From making a difference in our community to being fearless - listen to these amazing reflections on how our congregation is changing lives!
Dear Friends of Saint Andrew Malankara Orthodox Mission,

"Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good, For His mercy endures forever!"
- Psalm 135:1

As we approach Thanksgiving this week, I wanted to offer my sincere gratitude to each of you for your prayerful support to our growing congregation.

Last year we launched a #GivingTuesday campaign (held annually on the first Tuesday after Thanksgiving) which raised over $25K for the Saint Andrew's Fund (SAF).  Through SAF, we have been able to support our local charity partner the Mary Brennan Inn, various struggling families, and other worthy causes.

This is one of the many ways we have been a healing presence on Long Island (and beyond) through witnessing our precious faith.  We are a community with a vision to Grow in Christ, Build in Christ, and Serve in Christ.  On this Giving Tuesday on November 30th, we ask for your prayers, and cooperation as we seek to strengthen the ministry of our congregation, and our courageous witness right here on Long Island!

Saint Andrew Malankara Orthodox Mission has been doing great things only because of the prayerful and generous support of well-wishers like you.  Help us continue to do great things for Christ and His people!

On behalf of the God-loving people of Saint Andrew's Malankara Orthodox Mission, I wish you our prayerful wishes for a Blessed Thanksgiving!

In Christ,
Fr. Daniel (Dennis) Mathai
Pastor of Saint Andrew's Mission

With hearts filled with joy, our congregation shares the wonderful news that we have received the precious relic of our Father in Christ, Saint Andrew the Apostle.

Holy Relics are a witness to the great sanctity of a Christian to his or her faithfully following the commandments of Christ, to receiving His Grace, and to truly becoming like HIm. The saints are sanctified in both body and soul, and we read in Holy Scripture how the bodies of the saints continue to be temples of the Holy Spirit even after death.

Please join us as we seek the prayers of Saint Andrew the first called Apostle in this most intimate way. It is our prayer that the reception of the relic of our Father in Christ will encourage us in following his example to bring others to Christ, and to tread the path of holiness through our obedience to the commandments of God.

The precious relic of Saint Andrew will arrive at our Church on Friday, November 26th for Vespers. The faithful will be able to venerate the relic of Saint Andrew and seek his prayers on Friday evening after Vespers and the devotional talk, and on Saturday, after Divine Liturgy.
At Saint Andrew's Malankara Orthodox Mission, community outreach and service is done throughout the entire year

Help support the sacred work of our congregation here.
