Hello, everyone --

I want to wish you a Happy Thanksgiving and tell you how glad I am you're here.

I feel your presence and encouragement -- whether you've replied to my newsletters, read my book, written with me, bought a T-shirt or just joined my email list. I hope you feel encouraged by what you find here as well!

As I mentioned last month, I'm changing things up. Here's why: I've begun writing a new memoir. So for now, I'm simplifying my writing life and shifting the focus of this newsletter to items I share on my blog ... with commentary, of course.

Today, with the holidays fast approaching, I also am including links to my Goods & Gifts offerings (from books to T-shirts to classes) for your holiday shopping exploration.

I hope you have a lovely holiday and weekend.

Take good care!
Sarah

#SameMoonFriends project

November was Month 2 of the #SameMoonFriends project. At each full moon, we take a moon pic or selfie and greet faraway loved ones and friends. Even when we're apart, we can take comfort that we all look up at the same moon.
I'll share a November roundup on my blog soon. For now, here's October's roundup. (And if you're a planner, Dec. 18 is the date of the next full moon!)

The Same Moon Shop

Feeling shy here, but I invite you to check out my Same Moon shop. The "Loon Landing" image from my book cover says, in Japanese, "two worlds, but one moon," and the kanji design reads simply onaji tsuki -- the same moon!

Click here to find T-shirts, greeting cards, notebooks, bags, yoga mats and more for loved ones near and far. (I've included links to individual items, which should make perusing easier.)

Also available -- writing classes and coaching!

Same Moon for you -- or your club!

Another holiday gift idea: The Same Moon: a memoir is available here. Or at Zandbroz Variety if you're in the Fargo-Moorhead area!

If you're looking for 2022 book group reads, please consider The Same Moon. (I'd be happy to drop in and say hello!) My book group page includes discussion questions.

Feasting with sensitivities

When the holidays roll around, I offer a gentle reminder that treats can be tricky for some. It's something to be aware of when hosting gatherings or offering kids a tasty snack. Food sensitivities and allergies are for real.

Travel back to the '90s with music

I haven't written much about Japan lately, but I did dig into my analog archive and recently shared a mixtape I received from Hideo, back in Same Moon times. Lots of good '90s music and memories in that one. Enjoy!
