ISSUE 2021:07 -  DECEMBER 2021

A message from the Board

Even after the T20 World cup there is lots of cricket happening around the globe with test series in Australia, Bangladesh, India and South Africa underway or about to start. But there is also a lot happening here in Stockholm too.  With winter training and friendly matches for our junior section and our women's team (in combination with Västerås CC) playing in a tournament in Norsborg just to name a couple of things.

The clubs investment in quality coaching for youth continues, with 9 junior coaches attending SCF's Cricket Essentals course in Hedemora. And we are looking to send more coaches in 2022.  And we encourage everyone to use the winter months to improve your skills - taking an online umpiring or scoring course is a great option.

From the board we are working on our operating plan for 2022,  so please take a change to fill in the survey (see the news article below) and provide your input to it.  The SCF have decided to restructure the leagues for 2022 and onwards,  so these changes are being incorporated into our plans too. Plus we have signed up to the SCFs National Club Scorecard,  so if you are interested in being apart of that work you are welcome to join us.

And lastly we hope that you have a fantastic festive season and get a chance to relax with your friends and family.

Go well!

AGM 2022 - Save the Date

The next AGM for the Stockholm Cricket Club will be held on Saturday 26-Februrary. So put the date in your calendar now, we will update the location a little closer to the day when we know more about the Covid-19 situation.

All documents, such as the Agenda, Annual Report and Operating Plan, will be published on the Clubs Website (Document Bank) according to the timeframes in the clubs constitution.

If you are interested in volunteering, as a board member or on a committee, then reach out to the Valberedning -  valberedning@stockholmcricket.se

If you would like to nominate someone to become an Honorary Member of the club,  then email your candidate and the reason behind it to the board - board@stockholmcricket.se

End of Season Survey

The Board would like to learn from you about how you experienced the 2021 season and what improvements we can make for 2022.

Therefore we have created a 6 question survey to collect and listen to the opinions of all members of the club.  It shouldn't take more than 5 minutes to fill out, but will provide us with input into our planning for 2022. The survey is open until 15-December.

Online Officials Training

Make time this winter to take an umpiring or scoring course.

In 2022 there will be stricter requirements from SCF for each team to provide umpires and scorers in matches.  In our Adults teams every team member needs to be prepared to umpire and score. Similarly for Junior games we will need parent's help.

Read more about SCF Umpiring training here.

2022 Membership and Activity Fees

A heads up to everyone. In January next year we will be emailing invoices for the 2022 Membership and Activity Fees. In this process you will have the option of paying by card, faktura or by instalments.  You will also have an option to "stop playing cricket",  if you wish to leave the club and not play cricket for us you can click on this.

As this will be the first time we are sending out bulk invoices to all the clubs members via our new sports management system there is a risk that something will go wrong. If you see something incorrect in your invoice email admin@stockholmcricket.se.
