Everyone in Australia has a stake in the NDIS and in allied health services – whether you access them (or try to), provide them (or try to), need a workforce to deliver them, and/or educate and train them: we all have a stake in making this work. If you’re reading this, you are probably well aware of some of those challenges.
So what can we do about it? For a start, join our Forum - this Friday, 26 November, 9.30am to 11.30am AEDT.
The experience of people on-the-ground needs to guide developments from here: your context, your operating environment, your communities, your knowledge.
There are plenty of plans, reports and strategies. We can influence how these are designed and implemented. Do or will they stack up, join up and make a difference where you are?
Register here and join over 50 colleagues and participants from across the private, community and public service sectors, practitioners, service managers, educators, researchers and program managers service managers – from across Australia.
People in rural and remote Australia have human, legal and ethical rights to services – and in many cases the financial support to afford it. That counts for nothing without workforce, service capacity and access.
- Let’s be frank about what isn’t working and why.
- What works now and what needs to change?
- What models can be trialed or expanded?
- Bring the positive stories, the ideas, the practical things that work.
- What can WE do about it – directly, locally, nationally.
