SEASONS GREETINGS!

Seasons Greetings! As the days get shorter and we prepare for the beautiful Winter season, I pray that you and yours are well. I have been busy raising my two amazing kiddos, teaching, and working hard in the studio. If you are looking for some gift ideas, feel free to reach out as I have some available paintings in the studio, as well as my books and videos. May peace, joy, and hope fill your homes.

BOOKS MAKE GREAT GIFTS!

Signed Art Books are Ready to Ship!

"The Spirit and the Brush: Painting Devotionals by Thomas Kegler"

The release of my first art book was a highlight for me last year. "The Spirit and the Brush: Painting Devotionals by Thomas Kegler" is an art book containing a collection of over 120 of my paintings, along with several drawings, created over the past decade. It is arranged to guide the reader through a year of contemplation: Spring’s renewal; Summer’s celebration; Autumn’s bounty; and Winter’s rest. The book is presented as a 365 daily devotional. Each image pairs with three biblical passages (one per calendar day, leap year excluded). It is an invitation to meditate daily on the world’s natural beauty and truth through the lenses of the arts and spirituality.
This 9x12 hard cover book is a tribute to my late wife, Kimberly.

FINAL THOUGHTS
The more you learn about painting - the harder it becomes since you become more critical.
Remember: drawing pats you on the back with immediate satisfaction, while painting is a humbling experience.. often not revealing the beauty of your efforts until the last few brushstrokes.
90% of the time, a painting is in the "awkward looking state", while a drawing looks "good" as you progress. Keep your mind on the final outcome and press on.
