Wheels in motion for Poole Park Railway

Work is due to commence on the Poole Park Railway on 6 December, following a successful tender process.
Come down to a public information event on Tuesday 7 December from 12-3pm, in The Ark in Poole Park to have a look at the plans, meet the contractor and speak with council officers involved with the project.

Poole Park water fountain reinstalled
|
|
|
The water fountain in Poole Park, installed as part of the centenary celebrations in 1990, has recently been repaired and refurbished as part of the Heritage Landscape Scheme - one of six projects that fall under the National Lottery Heritage Fund improvements in the park.
Originally this site was the location for a band-stand, which was removed in the early 1960s and lay empty until funds became available for the centenary works.

Would you like the chance to spend time outdoors doing a healthy activity and helping nature? BCP’s friendly Rangers are looking for volunteers to help manage our beautiful nature reserves in the north part of Bournemouth.
The groups meet at 10am on Wednesdays and Thursdays on different sites each week. You’ll get plenty of support and variety, doing tasks such as managing vegetation, fencing, path maintenance, pond restoration, and litter picking. You'll also be able to learn new skills such as hedge laying. You don’t need any experience just lots of enthusiasm, and you can choose the hours to suit you. You’ll probably get muddy and a bit damp, so you’ll need to come in suitable clothing and wearing sturdy footwear, and bring your lunch or snacks and a drink.

Kings Park Nursery is now closed for the winter, re-opening in March 2022. We’re gathering customer feedback through a survey, so if you have 5 minutes to spare, your thoughts would be very welcome.
