Hi folks,

GARDEN WASTE LATEST

for those not on Facebook, Cllr Kevin Davis issued an update today .

"As residents will be aware, Garden Waste collections are taking place this week and next week.

Work began on Monday and the waste crews were collecting far more than they were initially expecting. There was an expectation of an uplift in the tonnage, but yesterday there were approximately 60 tonnes which required additional trips to the processing site. The crews are doing a great job in trying to keep up and everyone is grateful for their hard work.

The net result has meant that a few roads weren't completed, they would have been the first roads on the list this morning. This pattern will likely continue throughout the week and work is underway with Joint Waste Solutions and Amey to have a Saturday collection in order to mop up anything missed this week.

If anyone finds that their bins have not been collected, please leave the bin out as the plan will be to collect it the next day.

This will be the last collection for this year, and Cllr Davis will be writing to all subscribers in January when he knows exactly when the next collections will occur.

We still have a high confidence that the service will be back to normal mid to late spring next year."

Take care & stay safe.

Regards,

Andy Grimshaw
PNF Chairman
