November Partner Update

May we be the first to wish you a Happy Lancashire Day in time for the big day on Saturday (27).  Don't forget to celebrate by joining our social media campaign and spreading #LancashireDay far and wide. Let's be loud and proud all weekend long!

This month Marketing Lancashire were delighted to announce the Lancashire Tourism Awards finalists.  We have had a great response from applicants and some inspiring, passionate and creative approaches reminding us, if we ever needed it, that Lancashire has so many reasons to be proud of its tourism industry.

I'm sure you need no reminders that next week we enter December and the countdown to the big day!  The Visit Lancashire advent calendar will be launched this Wednesday, with a different fantastic prize draw behind every door to enter each day.  Prizes have been provided by Visit Lancashire partners and include overnight stays, foody gifts and great days out.

This partner update includes news and opportunities, including an update on Lancashire Day 2021, Lancashire Tourism Awards 2021 and Covid-19 guidelines.

A Feast of New Lancashire Businesses

Through the Lancashire Tourism Awards' New Tourism Business Award finalists we celebrate Partners Hampton by Hilton Blackburn, Orchard Glamping, Ridgeway Farm Blackpool and The Secret Garden Glamping who have achieved early success despite establishing their businesses in these unprecedented times for the industry.  A real credit to their resilience.

Renowned chef Tim Allen has opened his first restaurant, Sōlō, in the village of Aughton and entrepreneur Mark O’Rourke, who earlier this year announced £2 million growth plans for his Fino Tapas restaurants, is now looking forward to the relaunch one of his Preston city centre restaurants 263, following the appointment of talented chef, Oli Martin. It's also great to see Nigel Haworth back at the helm of The Three Fishes which has also re-opened this month. This is testament to confidence in Lancashire's marketplace and we look forward to following all their journeys.

Nominate your Lancashire Tourism Superstar

This year the Tourism Superstar national competition is now also open to small teams of up to 10 as well as individuals, and Marketing Lancashire is now inviting nominations for Lancashire teams and individuals across the industry, to be considered for this award.

Nominate your individual or team tourism superstar – by completing this short form – which must be submitted by Friday 10 December 2021.
