Dear JLP Supporters,

Giving Tuesday is soon approaching on November 30! Giving Tuesday, takes place on Tuesday after Thanksgiving, and is a global generosity movement, unleashing the power of radical generosity to transform communities and the world.  

Thanksgiving is a wonderful time to reflect on how much there is to be grateful for, despite the challenges of the past year and a half. At Junior League of Phoenix, we are grateful and proud that our organization has been able to remain a powerful force for change, not only for our members but for all the underserved adults, children, and family lives we have been able to positively impact in the local community:

• We continue our focus of Fighting Hunger in Greater Phoenix through our programs with Harvest Compassion Center and the Society of Saint Vincent de Paul and our continued partnership with the City of Phoenix to present two drive-thru events for our Phoenix Food Day & HealthFest signature program.
• Kids in the Kitchen is continuing to teach children and families about healthy food choices at Homeward Bound.
• ROCKETS is raising children’s knowledge of science to impact their futures at First Friday Events at the Children’s Museum of Phoenix.
• We are also looking forward to hosting our ROCKETS Teacher Launch seminar in January.

What truly makes Junior League of Phoenix unique in our impact, is the effectiveness of our trained volunteers.  Our training and development ensure that our members are ready to face the challenges of our community, both today in our direct service programs, and in the future as board members and civic leaders.  We offer unique opportunities for personal growth through comprehensive leadership development and training, community service, and lifelong connections.  By welcoming all women, our organization thrives through its membership’s diverse backgrounds, interests, and experiences.

This year, we continue to forge our path to ensure the success and longevity of our organization.
