Hi <<First Name>>! Welcome to AP's November newsletter

We are pleased to share the publication of three articles:
- "Diritto di cittadinanza come strumento di giustizia e pace sociale"
- "Afghanistan, l'impunità è legge"

- "Revitalising the EU’s Non-Recognition and Engagement Policy towards Abkhazia"

This month we also held a webinar for high-school students from various secondary institutions in Italy, which focused on peacebuilding and climate change. This event represented an opportunity to share what was discussed at the 2021 edition of the Bologna Peacebuilding Forum with a wider and younger audience.

We also share the information about a new
project, in collaboration with the Italian Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.

Finally, we are proud to announce that our organization is growing and want to show you or new members...and their astonishing bios!

Thank you for your interest in our activities and latest news!

Webinar
Peacebuilding and Climate Change

Here a webinar in Italian for young learners, focusing on how climate change affects both the causes and evolution of armed conflicts and look for possible implications for peacebuilding.

In recent years, AP has researched the relation between environment and conflicts with the aim of understanding how work on peace processes can be applied to environmental crises and vice versa.

This event represented an opportunity to share what was discussed at the 2021 edition of the Bologna Peacebuilding Forum with a wider and younger audience.

Italy, peacebuilding and crisis prevention

The Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation has awarded AP a grant for a research project on "Italy, peacebuilding and crisis prevention".

The project has three objectives: generating new knowledge and analysis on peacebuilding and conflict prevention with particular attention to the role of Italy; supporting policy-makers in shaping Italy's actions and support in the context of peace processes and crisis prevention; and strengthening the exchange between Italy’s political institutions, specialised civil society and universities.

The project will produce a report on “Italy and Peacebuilding” that will be launched at the Bologna Peacebuilding Forum in Spring 2022.

And so... the AP family grows!

It is with great pleasure that we announce that new associates and avisors have joined our organization.

In particular, Dr. Celina Del Felice, Dr. Huma Saeed and Mikhail Silvestro Sustersic had, in the past, all been engaged with AP in different roles, and, in becoming members, they have confirmed their commitment to our vision. Thanks to their exceptional skills, experience and knowledge, AP’s is now in a better position to contribute to the peacebuilding sector and to the management and resolution of violent conflicts everywhere
