Christmas Shop Volunteers Needed
Shrine's Christmas Shop is coming soon and it's back in-person on Friday, December 10th. We need several volunteers (cashiers, shoppers and wrappers) to make this a fun event for the kids. If you are able to spare some time, please sign up below. Your time will count towards your Shrine Volunteer hours. Please note, all volunteers must wear a mask while in the school.

Mothers' Club Christmas Social
All moms are invited to join us on Thursday, December 16th, at 7:00 pm in the Shrine Grade School cafeteria for a Mothers' Club meeting and Christmas social. We will update you on our activities this year and enjoy an evening of fellowship with each other. Drinks, appetizers, and desserts will be provided. Masks must be worn, except when eating and drinking.

Dads' Club Christmas Tree Sale
The Dads' Club tree sale began on 11/24 in the Woodward Lot. There are a wide variety of trees available- from tabletop size to 14 feet tall! The sale is open Monday through Friday 4pm to 9pm, and Saturday and Sunday 9am to 9pm. Come pick out your tree and support Shrine!

Toyology Kickback Program
Doing your holiday shopping? Did you know that you can earn credit for Shrine just by shopping at Toyology? Shrine participates in their kickback program, so 20% of your purchase goes to an in-store credit for the school, used to pick up fun stuff for the classrooms! Just mention Shrine when purchasing!

Fundraising Update
As of this week, the Mothers' Club is no longer able to accept payments or donations through Venmo. Going forward, we will only be able to accept cash and checks. We appreciate your support, and are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause. Any questions regarding this policy may be directed to the Parish office.

Volunteers Needed!
Lunchroom Volunteers
Hours: 10:45am – 1:10pm
Duties: Assisting and interacting with students in the lunchroom and wiping tables between lunch periods to provide a pleasant and healthy lunchroom environment. We need 5 volunteers to work the lunchroom every day. https://sites.google.com/a/shrineschools.com/cafecal/
Playground Volunteers
Hours: 11:00am – 12:50pm
Duties: Watching and interacting with students during recess to ensure fun and safety.

Yearbook Photo Request
It’s the beginning of the school year and we want to remind you to start uploading your photos for the yearbook! We need photos of your kiddos during recess and lunch, at the Step-by-Step Run, at Fall Fest, on the first day of school, playing or cheering on Shrine sports, wearing Shrine gear and showing #shrinepride.
Please start uploading your photos for consideration for the yearbook.
1. Upload your photos by going to: commpe.pictavo.com (Must use Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge version 79 or newer)
2. Enter school ID 701682
3. Click “Share Your Pictures
4. You will need to create an account if you don’t have one already.
5. Click, Upload Photos and then select photos for Upload
6. Tag your photos (to the best of your ability). Pictavo asks for first and last name for the tag, but you can also add a description. (Like “Colin Tulley 2021 Fall Fest” or “4th Grade Girls at Step-by-Step”)
7. Choose an album
iPhones: To upload the best resolution photo, tap “upload photo” in Pictavo Community, tap photo library, select the image in your library, then tap choose image size at the bottom of the screen. Important to select LARGE or ACTUAL SIZE

Prayers for Sabrina Gruenewald and her family after the unexpected loss of her Grandfather, Fred McKee.

*Alba Family, Shrine Family
The Alba family lost their husband and father, Jason, just before Christmas. The Albas have been long time, active members of the Shrine community and have three children. Naomi (11th) and Nate (8th) attend our schools. Many people from our community have asked how they can help. With the family’s permission, we have set up a tuition fund to help offset future tuition expenses at Shrine. The link can be found here: https://www.givecentral.org/location/1183/event/29127
Donations can also be made to LifeLab Kids Foundation in Ferndale https://www.lifelabkids.org where their youngest child, Noah (grade 2) goes to school. We will continue to hold the Alba family close in prayer and encourage you to do the same.
* Amy Firek, Shrine Family
Amy, one of our Shrine moms, was recently diagnosed with breast cancer. She has 4th and 6th graders at the Grade School, and a Junior at the High School. We pray for continued strength, health, and healing as they go through this as a family.
* Ms. Liford, Shrine Family
Our incredible Academy Art Teacher has been battling cancer. She will be beginning a new round of treatment while continuing to teach our children face-to-face. Praying for continued strength and healing for her.
