MIND YOUR STUDENT.
REFLECTIONS 2022
A favorite program for Barlow art enthusiasts is back! Let’s explore the arts and culture through this year’s PTSA Reflections theme:
“I will change the world by...”
Each year, students are recognized for bringing a theme to life through dance choreography, film production, literature, music composition, photography and visual arts. The Reflections program offers students the opportunity to earn local, state and even national recognition for original artwork they create in response to a specific theme.
This year, CT PTA is allowing all Reflections program entries to be electronic or physical. Electronic submissions are due via email to: JBHSReflections22@gmail.com and physical submissions can be delivered to Mrs. Bender in the Front Office by January 7, 2022. Due to the short time frame for judging, no late submissions will be accepted.
Entries should represent students’ unique creativity—adults are welcome to encourage students, but are asked not to assist in any way with their interpretation of the theme or artistic expression.
Please keep in mind that the Artist Statement is the most heavily weighted part of the student entry and carries the highest points in the judge’s rubric.
Feel free to reach out to Sarah Lehberger or Claire Wilkes with any questions, and best of luck! We can’t wait to see the unique, inspiring, and creative entries!
MOCA WESTPORT 2022 HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT ART

TAKING CARE.
FALCONS, DO YOU WANT TO WEAR PAJAMAS TO SCHOOL?
Well, you can! On December 10th, with the donation of just ONE dollar! Please join the Class of 2024's effort to fight childhood cancer by bringing in one dollar and wearing your pajamas to school. All funds will be donated to the Connecticut Children's Medical Center. Your support matters! We are going to wear pajamas to school because the children at Connecticut Children's don't have the choice to wear regular clothes, they have to wear pajamas for days, weeks, months, or even longer while they are fighting cancer or other serious illnesses. In this season of giving, let's help support them and make a difference!
If you would like to donate or would like more information you can visit our team's page by clicking here. Otherwise, please bring that dollar to school on December 10th and wear your PJs!
