Help Us Help Others

Families for Addiction Recovery (FAR) is a national charity founded by parents of children who have struggled with addiction from their teens. FAR is a volunteer run organization and we are changing how people think and talk about addiction. 

• We offer free support for parents across Canada with children who struggle with addiction.
• We are a voice for families to influence government policy.
• We educate health care providers, law enforcement and community groups about stigma and the need for compassionate, evidence-based treatment on demand, protective drug policies and protective health laws.

Give a Gift that Gives Back

• $50 provides one-on-one peer support to a family caregiver for 2 months in our P2P Program
• $125 funds our live support line for one week
• $200 trains one parent volunteer to become a peer
  supporter for our P2P Program
• $500 funds our live support line for one month
• $875 funds the monthly administration costs of our Public Service Announcement that plays across Canada
