We Need Your Help!

We are gearing up to reapply for our core funding, which means we need WHRC members to fill out this survey (~5 min) to help us continue operating for another year. To show you our appreciation for helping out, one person will win a $50 Etsy gift card!

What Are Our Values?

The WHRC is growing—we have 340 members across 15 different countries and several well established initiatives to build off of. To stay true to who we are and why we are here, we need a set of values that can ground our decision making process and guide our actions. We’re looking for feedback (<3 min) from WHRC members about what you think those values are and should be.

2021 BC Child Poverty Report Card
An annual report authored by First Call Child and Youth Advocacy Society found that in 2019, 80.4% of lone-parent families were led by females. “These families’ median annual income was $46,990, just 70% of the male lone-parent median income of $66,830.” They also found that the lack of affordable childcare options remains a major barrier for these women to fully engage in the workforce, and thus significantly contributes to their lower income.
