Spotlight on ... Holiday Gratitude
By now, many of us thought we would be looking at COVID-19 in the rear view mirror, but such is not the case. The efforts of flight attendants who have been working through the entire pandemic have been nothing short of herculean. We are grateful to each and every one of you, as well as to those of you whose planned leaves of absence were cut short by "coverage needed." You have worked through service cancellations and modifications, staff shortages, contrary passengers ... all while wearing masks for countless hours in a day. We applaud you!

Now that beverage service has largely resumed in the main cabin, we are grateful to those flight attendants who are recycling aluminum cans. Some have contacted Wings when they notice irregular handling of cans by catering in certain bases. We are grateful to those of you who will still recycle on every flight as a matter of consistency, despite some stations' contractual restrictions which inhibit the recycling procedures to which we aspire.

There is much else to be grateful for in this past year, such as those of you who donate to Wings Foundation either through payroll or Network For Good. We are grateful to shoppers on Amazon and those who use PayPal and designate Wings as their charity of choice. We are grateful for the generosity of Barclays and Coca-Cola for their contributions to Wings Foundation.

We are especially grateful to those volunteers who selflessly dedicate so many hours of their days and weeks keeping the wheels of our organization turning. Whether an officer director, term director, advisor director, or caseworker: You carry a big responsibility. And as we gear up for 2022, we can't wait for our in-person fundraisers to bring other volunteers who step up and give their blood, sweat and tears for the success of these events.

Thank you!
