FROSTY FINGERS!

This years Frosty Fingers will be held on 19th December at Albert Avenue.  This is an annual event run by Meg who will kindly provide the mulled wine again.  Please could families bring mince pies, cakes, treats so we can enjoy the festivities of the day.

Festive hats and attire, although not compulsory, is requested.  There will be fun and games for the paddlers and we would like to invite everyone to come along and enjoy a mince pie of two.

Location: Outdoor Pool
Date: 19th December
Time: 11:00am

There is no need to book onto this event, but if you have any questions please speak to Meg.

Important - Club Trips & Membership

Until now we have advertised our club trips as being for Club members only although the booking system has allowed anyone to book on.  Moving forwards we will be restricting booking to our members.  All session on the outdoor pool, while we still have access, will continue to be open to members and non-members.

Membership gives you:
  • Access to our club trips away from the site
  • Access to all our club equipment for club trips/session
  • Coaching from our fully qualified coaches
  • Reduced paddling cost on the outdoor pool
Membership can be purchased and managed through our Membership Portal, at any of the trips or speak to Andy Davies 07931 788655 and he will take your details.

We also have a video which explains how to use the portal. How to join Kingston Kayak Club Online | Using GOMembership - YouTube

Cold fingers when paddling?  Gloves may be an option, but these can interfere with grip and paddle feel.  There is another option; the Pogie!

The Pogie is a “pouch” which attaches to the paddle shaft allowing you to slide each of your hands into their own little windproof shelters.  These are relatively cheap to buy, and if you’re talented with a sewing machine can be made at home.
