January Updates
Policy
The Office of Planning, Research, and Evaluation (OPRE) has released this brief that outlines how working students can be supported to succeed in occupational training programs, which may be of interest to anyone working with transition aged youth.
Research
We meant to share this last month and accidentally omitted it: The 2021 Youth Recidivism report has been released by the Maine Statistical Analysis Center. The report shares data on recidivism for youth who have been referred to the Division of Juvenile Services in Maine between 2014-2018.
Check out this new infographic resource from The Annie E Casey Foundation, which provides a quick overview of youth incarceration in the United States.
The Rising Leader training series is a training and workshop series for transition aged youth interested in growing leadership skills. Young people who complete the series are eligible for college credit. For more information click here.
