Dear Parents and Guardians,
Last week we held our first Santa's Workshop in many years. It was so successful that we had to end the sales on Wednesday (lesson learned for next year). Thank you to Mrs. Ghergherehchi and her elves for helping our little ones shop and wrapping all those presents (especially the pencils). And, thank you to those who donated those essential items to keep our elves busy :)
Thank you to our PAC and all who helped make our Christmas event this past Saturday so wonderful. To say that the students had fun would be an understatement. The smiles and frosting covered faces were a sight to be seen. We have definitely begun a new tradition.
Our 4th-8th graders have begun their final exams for the first semester. Please keep them in your prayers. Semester grades will be complete when we return from Christmas vacation with report cards open, or sent home for Pre-K through 1st, on the 7th of January. Middle School students will receive their second semester schedules when they return on January 4th.
Please remember that we are dismissing at noon on Friday for Christmas break. Falcon care will be open till 6:00. Please let Mrs. Cayce know if your child will be staying.
On behalf of St. Mary’s faculty and staff I would like to wish you a blessed Christmas and a prosperous New Year.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Wyles

Celebrating Catholic Schools Dinner Honorees
Preparations are underway for the 2022 Celebrating Catholic Schools Awards Dinner, taking place on Saturday, Jan. 22, 2022 at the Hyatt Regency Town Lake, 208 Barton Springs Rd., Austin, 78704. This annual semi-formal dinner honors the “unsung” heroes at each of our 21 Catholic schools and raises much needed funds for Catholic school families who would otherwise be unable to afford a Catholic education for their child. Over $1.4 million has been returned to schools to increase accessibility to Catholic education for so many families. We are extremely appreciative of the generosity and look forward to this year's celebration.
This year I am proud to share with you that we are recognizing Knights of Columbus 3444. The Knights of Columbus is one of the oldest Catholic Fraternal organizations founded in the United States. The Knights' motto is “In Service to One, In Service to All.” with charity as their first principle and the basis for all they do as brother Knights.
Our St. Mary’s Catholic School community has experienced/witnessed this charity first hand. We are blessed to have a wonderful relationship with Knights of Columbus #3444. These amazing men are always there to lend a helping hand to our school community.
Whether it is building a privacy fence around our backyard, bringing in gravel for the playground, building a gaga pit for our students, or donating monies earned at the yearly Fish Fry, nothing is beyond their vision. Whatever we have asked, the answer has always been yes.
We are very grateful for the caring community we have found in the Knights of Columbus and look forward to years of friendship. God bless you gentlemen.
Please visit https://csdatx.org/2022ccs to find out more about this wonderful event and to purchase tickets.
