We've been so busy since reopening after lockdown, I can't believe it's time to close for Christmas already! Today, Thursday 16th December, is our last day in the office and we reopen on Monday 17th January.

The class and activity schedule will be updated before the beginning of Term 1 starting on 31st January 2022.

On behalf of the Committee of Management and staff, we would like to thank the community for all your support through the year. We wish you all a safe and happy festive season.

We are looking forward to 2022 with lots of plans for some fun and exciting activities and events, including the return of our Sunday Live Music Sessions. We can't wait to see you then.

Julie & Melissa

From the Chair

I am thrilled to have been re-appointed as Chairperson of Wadambuk for the next 12 months and even more thrilled that the full committee from last year have chosen to stay on as well!

If you are interested in being part of our committee, please contact me personally (0418 377 701) and I would be very happy to talk to you about it. You don’t need any experience in any field – just an enthusiasm for life and the community you live and/or work in! All ages, cultures and genders are very welcome!

The good news for the community is that we have had quite some success with grants recently which means we are well placed to hit the ground running in 2022 with a calendar packed full of activities and events in 2022/23. Keep an eye on our fortnightly Wadambuk News as this will be key to keeping you informed on what’s coming up…..   Part of Wadambuk’s vision for 2022/23 is to engage a wider demographic of our community to be involved with the Centre and we will be offering events/activities to help engage all age groups with the Centre.

We encourage you to reach out to us at any time if you have any suggestions for what YOU would like to see at YOUR Community Centre.

Don’t forget the St Andrews Hall and Wadambuk Community Centre are available for venue hire for any reason - birthdays, engagements, weddings, meetings, conferences, professional room hire or absolutely any other reason you may have! You may not be aware that the Centre receives very little external funding and our income is almost entirely earned from venue hire. So please consider us for your next event, this is truly important for the long term sustainability of Wadambuk to ensure that we can continue to run programs/events for the community.

I look forward to welcoming back our regulars and also meeting lots of new faces down at the Centre next year – have a safe and fun holiday season!

Warm wishes to you all…

Sandy Black  😊
