Talks
Thursday Talks
The Talks program resumes in February with a great line-up of speakers. For further details see Fronds or the Friends website calendar.
The first talk for 2022 will be on 3 February 2022 at 12:30pm:
Dr Penny Olsen – The Norfolk Island Morepork: rebuilding a population from the last survivor
Penny is an Honorary Professor in Division of Ecology and Evolution, ANU. In 1986 she organised a group to visit Norfolk Island and conduct a search for the Morepork. But what do you do with only one owl? A recovery program began, and today a small population persists.
Bookings are essential because of the COVID-19 guidelines related to Thursday Talks and limited seating. Bookings are open from the Friday before the talk until Wednesday night, or until seating limits are reached. (Tickets are free) This talk will be held in the ANBG Theatrette.
Plant Science Group Talks
The Plant Science Group is resuming activities again with Dr Roger Farrow as the Convenor. It is anticipated that the talks will begin in February. See the Friends website closer to the time for more information.

Both the Summer Butterfly Walks to be held on 23 January 2022 have now sold out.
