The EHFNA board has been discussing Redistricting and will take a vote to on endorsing a plan. One discussion has been Matt Perry’s Map to have the East Harriet Neighborhood in one ward instead of split into two wards as it is now. See that plan below:
https://portal.minneapolis-mapping.org/submission/p7498

After every census, Minneapolis updates the boundaries of its 13 City Council wards and six Park Board districts to reflect new population counts. The Redistricting Group, made up of 24 Minneapolis volunteers, builds the new maps with input from their communities. The Redistricting Group needs your help with the redistricting project to make sure all voices are heard.

Join the East Harriet Connectors!

Email info@eastharriet.org if you would like to join a network of East Harriet Residents who are interested in getting to know other neighbors and who believe that when we are supporting each other in community we have the potential to create a safe and healthy city. We welcome both new and long-time residents! Our hope is that EH Connectors will be the link to residents who are most difficult to reach but deserve to be informed, heard and supported.

We are hoping to start a “Snow Buddies” program that will pair residents that are physically unable to shovel with volunteers who would like to help those residents.
