We hope to see you tonight here at Holy Cross School for our Family Literacy Night at 6:30 p.m.Rachel Parroquin, Director of Spanish Community- Based Learning at the University of Notre Dame and Betsy Okello from the Notre Dame Center for Education will be our guest speakers. We will also have representatives from the St. Joseph Public Library to help our students sign up for their very own library card. Your child will also earn a free dress down day coupon for tomorrow and receive a free book!

Wednesday, December 22nd is a Christmas Dress Down Day (red, white, green colors). Please make sure all attire meets our Dress Code Policy.
School is in session next week. Our last day before Christmas break is Wednesday, December 22nd and we will return on Thursday, January 6th.

También tendremos representantes de la Biblioteca Pública de St. Joseph para ayudar a nuestros estudiantes a registrarse para obtener su propia tarjeta de biblioteca. ¡Su hijo también ganará un cupón para no usar uniforme mañana y recibirá un libro gratis!

El miércoles 22 de diciembre es un día de no uniforme, los estudiantes pueden usar colores de Navidad (rojo, blanco y verde etc.) Asegúrese de que toda la vestimenta cumpla con nuestra Política de código de vestimenta.

The presbyterate (priests) of the diocese recently met for our annual Advent day of reflection, which we also do each Lent. This year’s presenter was Father Joe Moriarty, the rectory of Bishop Simon Bruté College Seminary in Indianapolis. Related to the second part of Advent preparing us to commemorate Jesus’ birth, the central question that Father Moriarty presented us was, “Where do I desire that Christ be born in me?”… In what place of my life is there need for Christ to incarnate?
The afternoon session focused on the first part of Advent that prepares us for the return of Jesus in his glory, in which Father Moriarty discussed the gift of celibacy and chastity that are meant to make us priests more loving and more who we are meant to be… Celibacy ultimately allows us to devote our lives to our work for the Kingdom of God, which consumes our lives (including our time).
