What a year of joy and challenges 2021 has been! We are so thankful for our camp community supporting us over the past two years as we continue to adapt and make strides as a ministry through this pandemic. The Advent season has us excited for all that is to come in this season and well into next year as we celebrate seventy years of ministry. We will have much to share in the new year and look forward to seeing many of you back at camp in 2022. Wishing you a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Confirmation Retreat: Mar. 11th - 13th

Save the date for our upcoming Confirmation Retreat this March! Youth and their mentors will gather together for a weekend of faith exploration and bonding.

Mystery Quilt Retreat: Apr. 6th - 10th
|
|
For nearly twenty years, quilters have joined us at Pyoca each spring to sew their own "Mystery Quilt." Before arrival, each participant receives fabric measurements and cutting instructions for the Mystery Quilt, but will not see the full quilt pattern until they arrive.

Fall Youth Retreat: Nov. 19th - 21st
|
|
|
We would like to extend our thanks to Rev. Wes Kendall, Jeff Moles, and all of the youth and youth leaders for such a wonderful retreat. We are already looking forward to next year! Mark your calendars for Nov. 18 - 20, 2022.

Ordination of Rev. Sammie Smith: Nov. 28th
|
|
|
It was a true gift of this ministry to be able to walk alongside Sammie throughout her youth and as she took the final step to become a Minister of Word and Sacrament in the Presbyterian Church (USA).
Sammie, we are so proud of you. Thank you for continuing to support the work of Pyoca and camp ministry. May God bless you in your call to hospital chaplaincy.

Jackson Co. 50/50 Ultramarathon: Dec. 4th
|
|
This was our largest race yet, with 280 runners in the 10 mile, 50k, and 50 mile races! Many thanks to the folks at D.IN.O for all of their hard work putting this race together and to our fantastic staff who ran the aid stations throughout the forestry.

Pass It On. Like the beloved campfire song, we know that in order to pass on the magic of camp to the next generation, we need the support of friends of camp and previous generations who have been transformed by this ministry.
