December 2021 is here! Looking back over our year's initiatives, we could not have accomplished what we have without the teamwork and co-sparking around the world and across generations. Thank you! A lot goes on behind the scenes to prepare each offering. Here are five projects that came alive in 2021: 11 Hot Topics & 1 Burning Topic for the New Decade What I Learned from My Mentor Rich Story Development in Action: 3 Live Interviews with Maggie Carey Featured Collab Salon Recordings The Collaborative Narrative Network Training Calendar
This month, we unveil a new interview template with the first in a News Blog interview series. Narrative Practices India (NPI): A Conversation with Jehanzeb Baldiwala gives glimpses into NPI’s vision, collaborations and training endeavors in diverse contexts.
Please join us for our last Collab of 2021: Introduction to Narcissism and Narcissistic Abuse through the Narrative Lens (December 19, 2021 at 4:00-5:30 NY time). We are eager to learn from Barbara (B) Herring: (Los Angeles, California) about looking at Narcissism and Narcissistic Abuse using a Narrative Lens.
Do you need to earn CE Credits by the end of the year? Through our co-sponsorship with Alliant International Continuing Education, we offer Continuing Education Credit for each of our Five Self-Paced Online Courses. In addition, Collab Members can earn 18 CEs for attending and/or viewing The Collab Salon 2021 Series. You will first need to become a member in order to earn CEs. Lastly, will you consider making a financial contribution to Reauthoring Teaching? While we rely on many volunteers, we also need your help to support the team responsible for the ongoing maintenance and development of our website and training initiatives. While everyone can register for our Monthly Collab for free, if possible, become a Collab Salon member. As a 501(3)c non-profit organization, we welcome donations as well.

AN INTRODUCTION TO NARCISSISM AND NARCISSISTIC ABUSE THROUGH THE NARRATIVE LENS |
|

Barbara (B) Herring: (Los Angeles, California) Introduction to Narcissism and Narcissistic Abuse through the Narrative Lens. Sunday, December 19, 2021 Collab Salon 4:00-5:30 pm New York time |
"My hope is that this presentation will help clinicians notice when they may have a client who has been victimized by a narcissistic person, while listening to the experiences and feelings that the client describes. This introduction also aims to offer clinicians some new language to more precisely describe and discuss the most notable signs of this type of abuse – isolation, gaslighting, triangulation, and coercive control. Moreover, we will be able to discuss and create language that bridges the gap between a narrative approach, which entails curiosity, deconstruction, and externalized language, and a Narcissistic Abuse Recovery perspective that tends to be more psycho-educational and directive in its approach." We are thrilled to share our first blog post in a new interview series. In the spirit of communities in connection (rather than individuals in competition), these interviews will honor the work of our partners with particular attention to the new generation(s) of fresh voices from around the world who share a commitment to preserve, develop, and extend the legacy of narrative therapy. Watch this video trailer and read excerpts of a conversation with Jehanzeb Baldiwala from Narrative Practices India (NPI), which gives glimpses into NPI’s vision, collaborations and training endeavors in diverse contexts. |

"I can’t recommend the Collab Salon enough. This year’s lineup showcases some of the most fascinating and innovative up and coming practitioners and their practice. And you can both meet and hear about this in the most intimate of situations, almost as if your were sitting around a dinner table speaking to one another as old friends. We should all be thankful to Re-Authoring Teaching for creating such a ‘space’ for practitioners and their practices to meet one another from all around the world." David Epston |
Our deep appreciation to all who are contributing to our lineup for 2022 Collab Salons. Collab members can earn 18 Alliant CEs for year's series by joining us live and/or catching up on video recordings.
The Collab Salon is open to people from any discipline/background interested in learning more about narrative practices. Everyone can register for our Monthly Collab for free. If possible, please become a member - or renew your old membership- if you haven't already! You will be supporting the ongoing maintenance and development of training initiatives.
Please note: The USA is no longer on daylight savings time. Check your world clock for any changes in your time zone.
