To serve the increased number of clients safely and respectfully, Rise opened a new home office on Franklin Street in Hightstown, providing more space for case managers to meet with clients and connect them to the resources they need.
We invest your generous donations to rent refrigerated storage-space and purchase larger trucks for us to provide fresh vegetables & fruits and perishable dairy & meat products at the Rise Pantry.
We’ve converted our Main Street location into a Community Learning Center so that we can meet the growing demand for our English Language Learning classes. We’ll also be providing more classes on a variety of employment-related topics, helping clients to find pathways to more permanent financial stability.
How Your Donation Dollars Made a Difference in 2021
In 2015, an average of 21 families visited our food pantry on Wednesday nights. Between April and June of 2021, we saw an average of 206 families every Wednesday.
About 400 local families are visiting the food pantry every week – including 170 people who are working but still need pantry supplies to provide for their families. This past year we distributed 150,335 bags of food during 13,140 visits. (9/20-9/21).
There has been an increased demand for English Language Learning classes. In 2021, we graduated 70 students with 135 students currently attending night classes.
We are grateful for every gift, but our Rise Good Neighbors have an even greater impact by making an automatic gift each month. This allows us to have a reliable source of funds, reduce fundraising costs, and meet unforeseen needs that often arise year-round in real time.
