We are back in Business
Members be aware.... nothing but good times are straight ahead. We are gearing up for another opening and I'm hopeful, as I'm sure you all are, that this will be the last time. I'm thrilled to announce that MacBain Community Centre will be re-opening its doors to Coronation members on Monday, February 14. Ahhh Valentine's Day, (hold the chocolates please, I'm suffering with COVID 20).

Payment for virtual classes
If you have been attending virtual classes since December, please check your membership account and pay any outstanding balances. You can alternatively pay the balance at MacBain but is preferable you do so online. (Active)

Memberships
Some members may have purchased a six month membership in December. Please be advised that we have extended your membership by the number of days that we were closed.

Services on hold
The  Coronation Centre located on Summer Street will no longer host programs for members. (with the exception of Darts). The office is closed to take any payments or registrations. In addition the Pool Room and Wellness Room services are also put on hold until we move the equipment to the MacBain Community Centre. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Reminders when visiting MacBain Community Centre

QR Code
Every visitor to the MacBain Centre must wear a face covering, complete COVID-19 screening. The City of Niagara Falls will only accept the QR code issued by the Province of Ontario as proof of vaccination to enter a recreational facility. Printed or electronic QR codes will be accepted. Thank you for your cooperation. Get your QR code. Help will be available for those who need your certificate printed, or downloaded to your device. If you require the help, please bring your health card with you.

Which way do I go when I get to MacBain?
When you visit MacBain, Coronation Greeters will be there to assist you and direct you to your program.

Please note that our future dedicated space located on the first floor is far from being completed. The room allocation for your program may not necessarily be your permanent space.

TRX - Total Resistance Exercise at MacBain
 
TRX is a revolutionary workout that incorporates a special set of straps that hang from the wall. Use your body weight and gravity as resistance to build strength, balance, coordination, flexibility, core and joint stability.

Many more days and times will open up in the next round. We are accommodating members who had registered to start in the beginning of January.

Virtual Fitness with Cheryl
Join Cheryl from the comfort of your home as she will broadcast live from her class at MacBain. The $2.50 class fee will apply. The link will be the same every week for each different class. 


How do I register?

Below you will find the links to the fitness classes held via Zoom. Click on a link below to open the Zoom registration form for that particular class. Enter your name and email address then click Register. You will receive a confirmation email with a link to the Zoom "meeting" as well as the meeting ID and passcode.

** You will be registering for the day of classes until the end of March. You do not need to attend every class. A new link will be available for April - May at the end of March. Members will need to pay their balance before the April/May classes start.


How do I pay?

Once you have registered on Zoom, your membership account will be charged. You may pay the outstanding balance in person or you may pay online with your Active Net account. (It may take a few days for Active Net to show your outstanding balance.)

Now that the City has taken full responsibility for the MacBain Community Centre this also includes the indoor pools. I am eager to introduce new and exciting programs at the pools for Coronation members and the community. We have hired an aquatic supervisor and together we will dive right in (ha ha) and bring back the much loved aqua fitness with Tammy. We are also going to be introducing a new 'Therapeutic Aqua Class' focusing on strengthening and stretching hip, knees and back. In addition we will be offering to the community lane swims, family swims, parent & tot swims and much more.
More details coming soon of registration dates for Coronation Aqua Fit. We anticipate to start mid March. 

Volunteer Greeters Needed

Volunteer Greeters needed. Help sign
We are looking for volunteers who can help out with greeting our members at MacBain. Come and join the fun and frolics as we embark on this new adventure together. Duties include, welcoming Coronation members, directing members to program rooms as well as the payment desk, and answering general answering enquiries

The shifts are approximately three hours per week (morning or afternoon) on the same day each week. Greeters will be sat at a desk with not much, if any walking involved. We are trying to team up two greeters on any given shift.

Please email the Centre if you are interested in volunteering.

Looking for particularly a Friday morning or afternoon.

We can't wait to hear from you and thank you in advance.
