A note from the President.
The Board of Directors met in December and decided that with the rising costs to operate our facility a raise in our fees was necessary. The board has raised the membership fees by approximately 10%, and raised greens fees, cart fees, and range balls by approximately 30%. All cart plans, range ball plans, and private cart fees will remain the same. All social membership fees and the junior membership fees remain the same as well. If you need to make any changes to your membership options (adding a cart or range ball plan etc.) please give Chava a call from 8am-noon Monday-Friday.
We will continue to have a $300 annual use it or lose it for all golfing members. Any purchases made in the pro shop, bar, or kitchen count towards your $300 yearly fee. We do have new clothing merchandise in the pro shop just in time for you to finish your Christmas shopping! Gloves were also re-stocked and make a great stocking stuffer. We also have a few Odyssey putters, and a clearance rack of shoes that would make someone very happy this Christmas! Look for brand new logo caps, more clothing from Level Wear, and some bags and push carts from Sun Mountain in the pro shop next spring.
The Board also approved an increase in our room rental fees. For non-members to rent the sunroom the fee is $100, and $500 to rent the ballroom. All members in good standing get those rental fees waived. Make sure that your account balances are paid up if you plan on using our clubhouse so you can avoid room charges!!! All 501c3 organizations also do not have to pay the room rental fees.
As much as we do not like to raise our memberships or pricing, the board felt with all of the rising costs, it is necessary to keep our club running. We will also be forming a committee to look into moving to a non-profit status, which would make us eligible for grants to help offset some costs and bring more programs to our club. We need to research a lot of things, including our stocks and what would happen with all of the shares. As of right now, we have no clue what it's going to take, and what we need to do, or what that means for our stockholders and their shares. If anyone is interested in helping research these things, please let me know. We would be glad to have you ad-hoc on this committee.
I would also like to remind all members that you receive a 10% discount on all regular priced clothing in the pro shop! Take advantage of this discount on our new items!
We look forward to seeing everyone on Christmas Eve for free Egg Nog, stop in for a hot toddy and finish up your Christmas shopping! Wishing everyone a healthy holiday season, and a Happy New Year!
Sincerely,
Kacie Kennedy
