North Hollywood to Pasadena Transit Corridor Project
Thank you for your participation in the North Hollywood to Pasadena Transit Corridor Project. Our team has been busy reviewing all comments and feedback received as we continue to refine the project. In response to the concerns raised by the City of Burbank, the Metro team is no longer considering the curb-running option for the project on Olive Avenue between Buena Vista Street and Lake Street. We heard your concerns about the loss of on-street parking and the sidewalk narrowing associated with the curb running option. Therefore, going forward, the Metro team will focus on the side-running option on Olive Avenue in Burbank as outlined below.
Side running design option:
- Includes a single travel lane in each direction on Olive Avenue from Buena Vista Street to Lake Street; Converts one travel lane in each direction to bus-only lanes
- Preserves all existing on-street parking
- Does not require any sidewalk narrowing
The Metro team anticipates completing the Final Environmental Impact Report (EIR) in early 2022. The public will have the opportunity to review the Final EIR prior to Metro Board approval. The North Hollywood to Pasadena Transit Corridor Project will not be on the January Metro Board meeting agenda. The Metro team will notify you in advance when the Project will be presented to the Metro Board for its consideration and approval.
Thank you again for your interest in the project.
