Winter Book Read: Sexual Citizens |
We are excited to launch our West Campus Winter Book Read of “Sexual Citizens: Sex, Power, and Assault on Campus By Jennifer Hirsch and Shamus Khan.” Our goal is to provide a tool for all of us to dive deep and understand sex and power, think beyond consent, and understand the role we can all play in creating a safe campus culture. Sexual Citizens reveals the social ecosystem that makes sexual assault a predictable element of life on a college campus. The powerful concepts of sexual projects, sexual citizenship, and sexual geographies, provide a new language for understanding the forces that shape young people’s sexual relationships. The result transforms our understanding of sexual assault and provides a new roadmap for how to address it. Sign up Monday, Dec 13, for a free copy of the book. We will notify you when the book is ready to be picked up from the House office before you leave for winter break. House by House and West Campus-wide debriefing sessions will take place early Spring 2022. |

| Complete the Winter/Spring Checklist in Daily Check by Dec. 15The winter/spring checklist is an important communication tool between you and Cornell. The contact and arrival information you share with us determines your surveillance testing schedule for the remainder of the fall term and the winter break period (for students remaining in Ithaca after December 19), and it initiates your arrival test at the beginning of the spring semester.
Enrollment holds will begin on December 16 for any checklists not submitted by December 15. |
