Thank you to all of our members that voted early! Election Day for the runoff election is tomorrow, Saturday, December 11.
We must keep anti-LGBTQ+ ideology out of Houston ISD. The protections and rights of thousands of kids and employees are at risk. We've seen how just one poorly elected official can erase the progress our community has made over the years.
The opponents of some of our endorsed candidates have proven themselves to be entrenched in hate towards our community. They believe in limiting the ability of trans kids to use the bathroom of their choice and to support rhetoric that portrays being LGBTQ+ as deviant and immoral.

Join Houston LGBTQ+ Political Caucus at our Holiday Party from on December 18 from 4-6 PM at BUDDY’s Houston!   
It’s free to attend and we welcome anyone interested in learning more about the Houston LGBTQ+ Political Caucus and some of the volunteer opportunities, community involvement initiatives, and our equality-driven mission with our organization.
Come enjoy some light bites, cheerful company, and festive fun. We will also be accepting/collecting non-perishable food items or the Greater Houston LGBTQ Chamber of Commerce Holiday Food Drive. Now Accepting Primary Election
Screening Questionnaires

The Houston LGBTQ+ Political Caucus is accepting questionnaires and screening candidates for the 2022 March Primary Elections. If you are interested in seeking the endorsement of The Caucus, please visit pac.thecaucus.org/screening and download the questionnaire for your type of race.
After you complete the questionnaire, submit it to screenings@thecaucus.org. You will then receive a Doodle poll to indicate all of your availabilities for a screening.
The priority deadline for a screening is Friday, December 31. If you submit your questionnaire by the priority deadline date, you will be guaranteed a screening.
The final deadline for accepting questionnaires for a screening will be Friday, January 7.
Our Primary Election Endorsement meeting will be held on Saturday, January 29. If you have any questions about the screening/endorsement process, please contact screenings@thecaucus.org. Only questions submitted to screenings@thecaucus.org will be entertained.

Last Candidate Screener Training Tomorrow

If you would like to participate in the screening of candidates for the endorsement of the Houston LGBTQ+ Political Caucus, then you need to attend a mandatory screener training.
After you have completed the training, you will be eligible to participate in screenings for the next year.
Upcoming Trainings (all via Zoom):
