As One Step Beyond families gather for the holidays to celebrate the season, conversations in many of your households may include discussions about the future for your sons and daughters who have intellectual or developmental disabilities (IDD).
OSBI has been providing dynamic programs to individuals who have IDD for almost 20 years. Recently, we have been working on our eagerly anticipated expansion into housing which will be called Nikki’s Next Step in honor of a friend, volunteer, and advocate for many of our One Step Beyond program members.
Our new community will provide safe, supportive, and affordable residences for 35-40 adults who have IDD. It will be developed as one- and two-bedroom for-sale units and will feature a large Great Room for socializing and communal dining, an outdoor green space, and amenities that foster friendships and well-being.
To help us complete our planning for Nikki’s Next Step we want to hear from OSBI families. We invite you to complete the following survey. It should take no more than 20 minutes to complete.
With help from consultants LTO Ventures, all responses will be kept anonymous to everyone including OSBI, unless you choose to add your name at the end.
We will report our overall findings back to all OSBI families in early 2022.
