To mark the anniversary, teach a more complex version of this historic milestone and the civil rights movement. LFJ has resources to help. Listen to this podcast episode and watch this webinar—based upon our guide by the same title—to help students delve deeper into the history of Rosa Parks and the Montgomery Bus Boycott. For additional context, students can discuss Browder v. Gayle, an often unheard-of civil rights case that overturned segregated public transportation in the South.

Opening for PhD Student
Secure Cyber-Physical Systems Lab (Andrew Clark Research Group)
Dept. of Electrical and Computer Engineering, WPI
I anticipate 1-2 openings for fully-funded PhD students in my research group in the broader areas of control and security of complex networks and cyber-physical systems. Students should have a BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field before joining. While students with all backgrounds will be considered, prior experience/coursework in control theory, optimization, machine learning, cryptography and network security will be beneficial. Current and previous students from my group have found employment in industry and academia, and have received multiple awards including best paper awards at top conferences. I welcome applications from underrepresented minority groups.
Contact me at aclark@wpi.edu if interested. Please plan to apply to WPI ECE department PhD program by Jan 1, 2022.
