Dear <<First Name>>,
Since my last update, I have been happy to hear from so many of you with requests for prayer. Please know that I have been praying for those of you who asked for me to do so.
Thank you for trusting me with your stories.
We witnessed the power of prayer last year at this time. We were able to witness my husband’s miraculous healing. I welcome the chance to pay it forward on your behalf. In that same spirit, my family has joined in praying for your intentions as well.
If you have any updates for me, please let me know. We can celebrate together or I can continue to pray for you. ❤️
As I look ahead, I will be shifting course a little bit.
As a working artist and mom to 4 adult kids, there are seasons when family demands really limit my ability to do all I would like to do professionally. It's the dilemma for most working women, right?
Juggling work life and family life is nothing new. My kids are in their 30's and my mom is in her 80's. They don't need me very often, but when they call on me, I like to be available. This is the case for me in January.
Our daughter is expecting her 3rd child, and it is due mid-January. I have been asked to be part of her delivery team and of course I will be there with bells on!
I had the privilege to be there for the birth of her first baby, (our first grandchild). Here she is, as she appeared 4 1/2 years ago. What an angel! It was so magical to be part of her entry into the world.
My daughter and I literally sang her into this life. We did it using a technique of vocal harmonizing to accompanying droning tones. It was beautiful and provided the most amazing birth experience! My daughter actually thought it made labor fun! Who'd of thought that was possible?
I was not able to be part of the birth experience of our subsequent 2 grandkids. They were both born during the pandemic. Of course, support persons were discouraged in the hospital. But that policy has altered slightly...enough to allow for 2 people in the delivery room for this upcoming baby. One of them will be me!
We don't know if it's a boy or a girl that is coming our way. My daughter wants it to be a surprise. I will be keeping you posted as soon as that baby arrives! Please keep her safe delivery in your thoughts and prayers. Every baby is a miracle and we can't wait to celebrate this one together as a family!
That means that I will not be teaching in January but I will be painting. I have a long line of commission paintings that will keep me busy in the studio and out. Stop in if you see the studio lights on!
If you are my student, I hope you'll keep your brushes wet, and stay tuned for when my classes begin again. I'll keep you posted but feel free to reach out to me anytime.
With love and light,
