Woohoo!!! We got the letter last week and Glocal Community Partners is officially its own 501c3 and that is truly GOOD NEWS. Some of you knew that we were venturing down this path, others of you probably never realized that we were not our own organization. For the past 7 years, since Glocal started, we were under Cole Community Church as a ministry and we are so thankful for the firm foundation they gave us as and helping us launch as a non-profit. This past year, God impressed on us that it was time to go this route for two important reasons: 

1. Glocal will be better positioned to expand funding opportunities by increasing our network of church partnerships as well as the opportunity to receive grant funding. 
2. Long-term sustainability is gained by being able to increase the pool of potential leaders and volunteers from this expanded network which will add to Glocal’s ministry capacity for years to come. 

• The “Collister Community House” (CCH) is ours to use as an office and meeting space. Looking forward to seeing more ways we can reach out to the community.
• God has also provided a great start to a Board, with people who are strong believers and have a heart and knowledge for this kind of work. Thankful for Mark and Marcia VanSkiver, Lorrie Apel, Michelle Larson and Ben Cramer who are on our Board. We look forward to adding a few more members in the coming year. 
• Funding/donations have been at an all time high this year, thanks to many of you leading us to people who would want to support Glocal as well as the AMAZING amount of donations for new arrivals. Look for our Christmas letter talking about the Blessing Porch. 

• Friendship Partners Needed. If you had our training and you are looking to connect with families or singles, we would love to invite you into friendship. We have several women, single men and families who would love to connect with someone to practice English, learn more about living here in Boise and just to develop friends in this new land. We are excited for these friendships and building social capital for new arrivals. • Trainings: If you haven't had a training or you know someone who would like to take a training. Our next dates are January 12 and Feb. 3. Contact Laura.
• Housing Kits have been in big demand. We need donations along with help packing. If interested, contact Nancy at 909 289-3231. 
• Delivery Teams have been in demand as well. If you want to be a part of delivering furniture for new arrivals, contact Berna at (661) 400-6523‬ OR if you have furniture to donate, please contact Carolyn at (208) 598-0839‬. 
• Please Pray:
  • For continued wisdom in moving forward as a non-profit- organization, processes, new board members, finances, etc.
  • For the many families who are arriving to Boise from Afghanistan, Syria, DRC, etc. to feel this is home and to begin building friendships here. 
  • HOUSING - this is such a huge, constant  need right now. Pray for apartments to open up and for creative ways to provide homes for new arrivals.
