❄️Happy Holidays from the Confetti Team!❄️

Reflecting on a successful year of raising awareness about learning differences and special education through the power of CONFETTI, the movie.

Watch the trailer below!

A Note from Director, Ann Hu and Producer, Josh Green:

Despite the ongoing pandemic, 2021 was a wonderful year that launched the power of CONFETTI into the world.

After being forced apart for so long, we are especially proud that the Confetti Movement has brought so many people together. In August, the film premiered in both Los Angeles and New York City, before enjoying a fantastic nationwide theatrical release across AMC, Regal and Arthouse theaters in 40 cities. CONFETTI garnered a certified 85% score across all its reviews and achieved a rare 100% audience approval rate

With the support of some incredible social media influencers and platforms the film has had a reach of 15 million!

At the end of October, we hosted a grand red carpet event to launch the 1000 Community Screenings Movement, which also served as a chance to announce and honor the first 50 participating screening partners.

At the iconic AMC Lincoln Square, politicians and celebrities gathered for a screening of the CONFETTI followed by a wonderful Q&A featuring us and moderated by the wonderful Andrew Yang.

The red-carpet event was particularly important because it launched the Confetti 1000 Community Screenings Movement, a campaign where people from all over the country host special screenings of CONFETTI for their workplaces, education centers, places of worship and local communities.

Dozens of hosts have now signed up to Confetti Ambassadors, and we would like to take a moment to thank all the screening partners for this year:

Senator James Skoufis speaks after screening CONFETTI at AMC Lincoln Square.
Another cause for celebration is the support that Senator James Skoufis has leant to the Confetti Movement.

A true advocate for those with learning differences, Senator Skoufis and New York Assembly Member Robert Caroll recently brought an incredibly important bill to the senate. Senate Bill S7418 is an act to amend the education law, in relation to requiring annual dyslexia screening for all children and providing intervention services for dyslexic children.

At our launch, Senator Skoufis announced the Bill and spoke about his commitment to improving the way that thousands of students across the US are accommodated by the education system.
 Thank you, Senator James Skoufis!
SupChina – a New York-based, China-focused news, information, and business services platform that provides crucial and unbiased information about the rapidly changing society of China – has partnered with CONFETTI not only as a screening host, but also a media partner.

Through its newsletters and its publication, it has helped Confetti to spread the message to its 53,000+ readers, who are engaged in areas across business, technology, politics and culture, as well as important areas like special education and child development.
A personal note from Ann to Anla Cheng, Founder & CEO of SupChina: —“I am hugely grateful to Anla, who had helped us find the right school in the United States that helped my daughter overcome the challenges of dyslexia, the experience that inspired the story of CONFETTI!”

Anla Cheng says:
"There is nothing like a mother's passion and love for her child. This movie is a testament to a mother's devotion and resolute determination to nurture and guide her daughter to develop her full potential.

In her search and with her relentless effort, she was able to get the proper help, school and education for her daughter and bring her to where she is today - a fully fledged, highly intelligent and well adjusted young lady.

Ann has also introduced a new profession which didn't exist in China - Special Education for children with special needs. By paving this new path, Ann is a pioneer in her own right - she has helped develop a new world and profession and has prepared a path for others to follow. Kudos to Ann Hu!!!"
