CISP is accredited by ACSI (Association of Christian Schools International) which is an accreditation agency that supports Christian schools around the world. ACSI values excellence in academics and Christ preeminent. Being accredited by ACSI means that CISP is also accredited by MSA (Middle States Association), which is a widely recognized accreditation organization in the USA. CISP was first accredited by ACSI and MSA in 2013.
The accreditation process verifies the education CISP provides. Completing this process shows that the school is willing to examine itself and wishes to improve. Accreditation holds the school accountable and helps the school improve in all facets: curriculum, safety, finances, structure, spirituality, and communication. It keeps the school accountable to staff, students, administration, parents, and any other stakeholders of the school.
In November, an accreditation team from ACSI visited the school. Our teachers and staff prepared for the visit by working in small groups to create reports for all areas of the school. Kate Parker played a leading role in preparing us for the accreditation visit and we are thankful for all she did.
During the visit, the ACSI accreditation team observed classes, reviewed our safety procedures, and talked with teachers, students and parents.
At the end of the visit, the ACSI team presented their findings and recommended CISP for re-accreditation! We are thankful for their visit and recommendation.
