 Report from Rob on the ScotJOS squad training day
Great to see the ScotJOS squad enjoying themselves in Darnaway for some training last weekend - part of a weekend of activities in the local area organised by the squad coaches Jon and Judy, supported by local Moravian club members, including Andrew C, Jon H, Nikki, Jane, Morag and Fran, as well as others who cooked and transported (and probably loaded the washing machine!). Several of our juniors were able to join the activities, which was great experience. The forest was challenging today, not least because the Scottish Sled Dogs were enjoying themselves there as well ! And I just love it when you have willing helpers to collect in the controls.
Club Coaching
There will be another regular club coaching session for all in January - news in next week's letter, and in the meantime you can still get out there for some training thanks to Jon.
New holiday training available - message from Jon
Culbin is now officially open again and to celebrate, Jon has recycled the (52!) tapes he put out in Culbin for ScotJos. There are 3 training courses available: 3.4, 4.6 and 5.8km respectively. All TD5 but the shortest course is (relatively) easier. Message Jon on FB or email (jonhollingdale "at" gmail.com) and he'll send you the pdfs and instructions.
Next Events
At the time of writing MAROC are holding a full colour coded event at Glen O Dee on January 2nd. The details are on the MAROC page here. Presumably this would be the first counting event for the new Main Club League.
Omicron permitting the Northern Night Cup events continue tomorrow at nairn East Beach and then as follows with a Saturday league event at Sanquhar Woods on the 15th.
