Thank you to all to those who have supported and attended APSIA's events this year! We hope to have you join us for future APSIA events in 2022!
1) Diversity Forum Turns
5 Years Old
In 2017, APSIA launched its Diversity Forum series to inspire students and young professionals – and those who counsel them – to seek out careers in international affairs. The series particularly focuses on students who are traditionally underrepresented in the field.

Celebrating its 5th year, attendees discussed topics like how to change the narrative of what counts in a graduate school application, building the confidence to compete, and many more!

2) Annual Deans and Directors Meeting Features Keynote Speaker Jack Lew
From January 11 – 14, 2021, 60 representatives from 46 institutions in 15 countries gathered for the annual APSIA Deans/Directors Meeting. Hosted online, the meetings gave deans/directors the chance to share information and explore the challenges faced by graduate programs around the world.

Discussions included dealing with widespread exhaustion, fundraising, building diversity, equity, and inclusion into the curriculum, and assessing geopolitical risk.

The meeting also featured a keynote address by former U.S. Treasury Secretary Jack Lew discussing domestic and international challenges faced by the world today.

APSIA's Public and International Service Advisor (PISA) Network helps advisors counsel their students about education and careers in the public and international sectors.

Since its launch in 2018, APSIA has trained over 200 advisors across the U.S.! The community offers resources, discussions, events, and other opportunities to help advisors guide their students successfully toward public and international service.
