An Update from Our Athletic Director
Dear LP Families,
As we get closer to the Winter Break I wanted to give everyone an update on the upcoming sports’ seasons as well as reach out to see if we have any volunteers to help out with a few open positions. The following will give you updates on what we are planning and what volunteers will be needed in order to have these sports.
Reminder to tryout/participate in ANY after school athletics (TCAL or Intramural) students must have a FHSAA Sports Physicalon file with the school office - this is not the same as a school entry heatly check up. Sports physcals can be completed at many Minute Clinics, Med Expresses, or pediatrician office and should be emailed electronically to administration@lutzprep.org.
Boys Flag Football (A-Team 6th – 8th Grade and B-Team 5th-8th Grade) and Girls Soccer (5th-8th Grade) tryouts will be held sometime during the week of January 10th. The specific dates have not been determined due to girls and boys basketball playoffs. Emails will be sent home and announcements will be made as soon as we have decided the dates.
IF your child wants to participate it is necessary to have a completed FHSAA Sports Physical completed and on file with the school office in order to attend tryouts. This is something you will want to get completed as soon as you can so your child will be able to tryout.
Once we have determined tryout dates another sign-up email will be sent out and will be required to be filled out in its entirety before your child is allowed to participate. NO EXCEPTIONS!
We need volunteers for our TCAL Boys Flag Football B-Team. If we cannot find volunteers before break we will not be able to field a second team. So, if you are able to coach please email me at chad.mollick@lutzprep.org and I can give you specific details.
