December

Merry Christmas CMLA community.
Thank you for being part of the life and ministry of The Centre for Music, Liturgy and the Arts in 2021. In this newsletter there is info about next year that you don’t want to miss. Karan’s art workshops have proven a very popular Christmas gift. The planning day is a great way for ministry leaders to get centred for the year ahead with opportunities to think, plan, and connect with others. A special request for a piano accompaniment for We Had Seen the Star was received and is now available online for purchase. All of the info is below and on the website.
We hope that you may know the hope, peace and presence of Christ in this Christmas Season.

Every blessing,

Jenni, Neryl and Anne with The Centre for Music, Liturgy and the Arts

Art Journaling Workshop

An introduction to watercolour journaling for spiritual reflection and/or travel.

Come and join Karan Hudson as she leads a workshop in the art of watercolour journaling. Journaling with supporting images enriches the reflective practice and offers time for sustained reflection and for more deeply mindful noticing of the world around us and slow travel.

You will learn simple watercolour and pen and wash techniques suitable for creating an illustrated and annotated personal journal.

A Starter Visual Art Journal, pen and watercolour brush will be yours to keep after the workshop. Paints, pencils, and other materials supplied for use on the day.

Time: 10am - 2pm

Planning Day

CMLA is pleased to bring you our 2022 Planning Day.

When: Thursday February 3
Where: Campbelltown UC
Time: 10am – 2.30pm.

It’s an opportunity to get a heads up on the year ahead and spend planning time and brainstorming ideas with others in ministry. There will be prayer, discussion times, and time for personal planning.

Dr Deidre Palmer will lead us as we look into the lectionary year C and the gospel of Luke and consider what themes and preaching points you might find in the year. And Rev Philip Gardner will lead us in a session about planning for our own wellbeing in the year.

We will go to a local café to have lunch together.

It’s a great way to begin the year.

Bookings can be made through the CMLA website.
