#CookUpSomeLove this Christmas

Hello, I'm Jodie and I’m so excited to tell you about WCRF’s new Christmas campaign 'Cook Up Some Love', which I am fronting.

When I was 32 I was diagnosed with breast cancer. Within weeks of my diagnosis, I was in hospital having my lymph nodes removed – later followed by a double mastectomy and chemotherapy.

Going through chemo resulted in me experiencing various side-effects such as mouth ulcers, loss of taste and indigestion and this sparked an interest in what foods I should be eating to help heal myself.

However, I really struggled to find reliable, credible advice and support on cancer and nutrition – you can hear more about my story in the video, above.

Sadly, I’m not alone. Eight in 10 cancer patients tell WCRF they don’t receive any dietary support at all.

This Christmas, we want to change that. WCRF is collaborating with the oncology dietitians at Guy's and St Thomas’ NHS Trust to launch the Cancer & Nutrition Helpline – and we need your help.

Just £10 could help cover oncology dietary support for one patient living with cancer.

Being able to enjoy food is a small luxury that can make such a difference when going through treatment.

WCRF believes that all cancer patients should be able to access tailored nutritional advice throughout their treatment and beyond.

Your kind support can help us get one step closer to that reality, so join us and Cook up Some Love this Christmas. By donating today, you can help cancer patients get the vital dietary support they need.
